Our family has raised Australian Cattle Dogs, or "heelers" as we first called them, since the early 1970's. We found it increasingly difficult to find working dogs that suited us, so in the 80's we set out to breed our own. Today we have several dogs in our program that exemplify what we need in a working and family dog. Dogs are selected on working ability on cattle, disposition and conformation as it relates to soundness. Many of our pups sell to repeat buyers or via referrals.

All our dogs are A.K.C. registered from breed-leading pedigrees backed by generations of working cattle dogs. In our efforts to produce genetically sound dogs, we have tested for PRCD (a common form of vision impairment) and tested hips through OFA. We have bred conformation champions, advanced obedience title holders & advanced agility titled dogs-but our main focus and joy stems from producing working dogs for cattlemen and women.

"Ace" is an own son of Herding & Conformation Champion WTCH Rewuri Blue Bogong CD VQW (3 time National Herding Champion), and his dam is Kuawarri Blu Prununge HS by Herding Champion George. "Ace" has had a dramatic impact on our program, he and his get exemplify everything that we try to produce in our working dogs. His sons and daughters have been consistently great in terms of working ability, disposition & type. Ace was a very powerful dog while working cattle, biting a nose and low heel while also showing a considerable amount of upright "eye". He was also one of our most trainable dogs, and a loyal companion. We owe Kuawarri Kennels a great debt of gratitude for sending Ace to us as a pup, and we'll continue to use his frozen semen to continue his great influence.

"Vin" is an own son of Kuawarri Vaquero "Ace" out of a working, outcross bred female that we leased in 2008. Like his sire, he combines all the elements that we need in a working dog and companion. On stock he has shown quite a bit of eye and power, naturally going to the head and balancing stock nicely. His trainable mind is exactly what we'd expect being an "Ace" son. He's a taller dog that is lightning quick. He's very handsome and conformationally correct. To us, he's the best Ace son we have raised!

"Rowdy" came to us from Stacey Helsel in Florida, and he is really developing into a great dog. Double bred to the great female DC WTCH HTCH Intl CH VCH Kylie's Ericka Shurcan Shine ROM HXAs HSAc ATDcsd RTDc HTDIIId HRDIIIs HTADIIIs UD NA NAJ NAP NJP, Rowdy's pedigree is filled with herding winners and conformation champions. More importantly, his disposition is excellent and he is shaping up to be a strong dog on stock. He is a moderate sized dog with plenty of bone and shape. He is making a tremendous cross on Kuawarri Vaquero females, his 2009 pups are outstanding. Frozen semen available.

"Charlie" is a littermate to Spader Miss Wind, sired by a grandson of DC WTCH Solo's Blue Banjo and out of a line-bred Jambo dam. Charlie is incredibly laid-back, and has competed successfully in obedience-he's a great family dog. He enjoys working, and his progeny have made some really solid dogs. (See Ava below)

"Oz" is a dog that originated in our program that has been a tremendous sire and show dog for Russ & Heather Bacon. A conformation champion with herding credentials, he went High in Trial at the National Specialty in herding and holds titles on cattle & sheep. Much like his dam, Maggie (see below), he is a friendly dog with plenty of power on stock. He is a tighter made dog with a phenomenal amount of quickness. We are pleased to incorporate this dog into our breeding program to continue the influence of his dam-she was a tremendous cattle dog! We collected frozen semen on him in 2009, for information on breeding to him give us a call and we will put you in contact with the Bacons.

Wendy is a complete cattle and family dog and one of our very best producers of working dogs. Wendy traces to Dual Champion Solos Blue Banjo, the breed's first dual champion in herding & conformation. She is a littermate to Charlie (above), and has made an exceptional cross on Kuawarri Vaquero and his sons. She is really athletic and a fun dog to have around-her personality is second to none! She will bite a nose or a low heel. She continues to play a very important role in our program-her pups are a sure bet.

Faith is quite simply one of the finest dogs that we've ever produced. Her disposition makes her a family favorite, her power and eye on stock made her a cattle dog to be reckoned with! She tore her ACL last year, so we no longer work her but will begin her breeding career in 2009. Her progeny will take our program into the future!

Lulu is a talented Ace daughter whose dam is the the maternal grandam of Spader Vintage Vaquero. She is beautiful dog with plenty of leg and athleticism. She shows lots of upright eye on stock, and is a pleasure to handle. She's a fancy representation of our program that should produce exceptionally well.

Fancy is one of the prettiest pups we've ever produced-she's double bred "Ace" and looks the part. Exceptional movement, really feminine, good build and smart-she fits the mold that we set for our program. PRCD is pending.

We kept this two daughters out of our great female Wendy specifically to cross on Spader Vintage Vaquero, and his sire, Kuawarri Vaquero. Both red with double masks, they are really sweet tempered pups that should make excellent cattle dogs and producers.

When we bred "Maggie" to Rewuri Blue Bogong, she produced several strong ranch dogs, a conformation champion and a National Specialty Herding High in Trial winner. "Maggie" was an incredibly gritty working dog that would not back from any stock-her progeny exhibited her same tenacity and biddable disposition. Another great dog that was sent to us by Kuawarri Kennels. Maggie is the dam of "Oz", see above.

was a wonderfully sweet dog that loved everyone. She raised 2 nice litters for us that produced good family

"Bandy" was one of our most prolific producers in the 90's-she was also Dad's "go to" working dog. Always up for a game of fetch, she was a clever dog that always aimed to please. When crossed on Ace, she produced some of our best!

Sired by Kuawarri Vaquero and out of Rafter F Tuf Luck, "Kate" was a stout made dog that was a great companion

Sired by Rose Creek Wizard (a full brother to the dam of Lulu) and out of Spader Vaquero Kate. Lady is a good working dog and produced some nice pups for us. Another sweetheart!

Unfortunately, we lost Ava at a young age. She was more of a driving type dog, with a great low heel.
